IIFYM. Paleo. Atkins. Intermittent Fasting. So many ways to approach your meal planning in the fitness world. I’ve experimented with just about all of them. And for me, none quite worked. I’m a busy guy. I don’t have time to measure out my food. Weigh my food. Track my food in various apps and hunt down ingredients not easily available at my local market or grocery store. So what’s one to do when it comes to eating healthy to build […]
Ok…let’s try this…again… This is what my last semester of school did to me. 14-16 hour days of class, work, studying, and attempting to maintain workouts. High stress, lack of sleep and overall bad eating led to weight gain and puffiness. I’m at 164 lbs. I wanted to be at 150 lbs. So I start again. School is done. Boards are in July. I’m basically in limbo until I pass my boards and find full-time work. I plan on using […]

Let me start by saying this is not something I usually do. I’m not one to post shirtless progress pics, but right now I need to be accountable. I need to be accountable to my clients, my patients and to the fitness community in which I work. My body is not where I want it to be. I’ve come up with a number of excuses: holiday weight gain, winter weight gain, school, stress…one excuse after another. So I decided to […]

On July 25 I had the opportunity to meet and train with whom I believe is one of the best fitness professionals out there – Tee Major. I’ve been following him for years. From his YouTube posts with workouts he leads with our men and women in the military, to his blog posts, and to his comprehensive app. For me, he came along when I hit the wall with fitness. I was beyond tired on the same old weight training […]
Hey gang! Yeah, it’s been awhile. I’m sorry. Being a full-time physical therapy assistant student and trying to pay the bills takes a toll on my schedule. While my schedule this summer is insane, I’ve not sacrificed on my workouts. They are a priority to me. And more than ever I need motivation to get to the gym, power through the workout, and continue to progress with my goals. Right now, I’m working on my first clinical rotation for my […]
